Hello there! It takes tremendous courage and strength to make a step towards change, but you made it. I applaud and admire the bravery.
My clinical experience includes working with people in different walks of life from middle childhood to elderly seniors all carrying a wide range of struggles including anger, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, grief and loss, adjustment, and various forms of trauma. One thing I have gathered, professionally and personally, is that we are all battling something.
Therapy is a collaborative effort and certainly not a one-size fit all. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I believe you hold within yourself the insight and ability to overcome the barrier in your life. Allow me to walk alongside and be your safe space as you go through this journey. It may get uncomfortable; It may get challenging. In the end, it can be remarkably empowering.
