About Vandana Bindiganavale, Mindfulness Meditation Guide
Hello, I am Vandana Bindiganavale, Mindfulness Meditation Guide. Offering wellness and healing through mindfulness meditation is not just my profession – it’s my purpose. Yes, you read that right – mindfulness meditation. An ancient practice rooted in wisdom and now backed by modern science, it’s gaining momentum worldwide for good reason. It’s beautifully simple, yet profoundly transformative – bringing with it a wealth of benefits: physiological, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual. I truly believe that in today’s world, being productive isn’t about managing time – it’s about managing the mind. That belief fuels my passion for helping others reconnect with their inner calm and well-being.
My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Sociology from Osmania University, India. Along the way, I also had the opportunity to work with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection and the transformative power of awareness.
Through mindfulness meditation, I guide individuals to slow down, breathe, and become more present — observing their thoughts, emotions, and sensations without judgment. Whether focusing on breath, body awareness, or guided imagery, the practice is about cultivating clarity and calm amid the chaos.
Mindfulness can be a powerful complement to therapy, enhancing emotional regulation, reducing stress and anxiety, and easing the nervous system’s "fight-or-flight" response — especially helpful for those healing from trauma.
Over the past decade, my personal practice has evolved through years of daily meditation, silent retreats, and immersive study. I completed a two-year teacher certification with UC Berkeley’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP), which included training in:
- Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
- Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness (TSM)
- RAIN technique (Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nurture)
One of the things I love most about this work is its adaptability. Mindfulness meets you where you are. For some, it’s a path to relaxation. For others, it’s a tool for emotional healing, greater self-awareness, or simply finding space in a busy world.
Outside of my practice, I wear many hats — proud parent, tennis team captain, and dog mom to three wonderful pups. I’m lucky to share life with two amazing kids, whose drive and achievements continue to inspire me. I live by this quote from my teacher, Jon Kabat-Zinn:
“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.”
Let’s begin your journey to learning how to surf life's waves — with mindfulness, compassion, and presence.
