About Madison Quickel Counseling Student

Hi! Welcome to Prosperity! I admire your courage in taking this first step toward change, growth, and healing. I aspire to walk alongside you in your counseling journey and build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I intend to create a safe environment for you to connect with your thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

Collaboratively, we will create a plan that helps you navigate life's successes and challenges. The therapeutic approaches I gravitate towards include CBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and integrative therapy.

My interest in counseling flourished as I saw many of my friends and the kids I taught during summer camp struggling with intense emotions and feelings at such a young age. I wondered how I could help in the future and how someone's life might be different if they knew they were heard, validated, supported, and cared for by another. My passion is helping people who are hurting, stressed, overwhelmed, need support, or need a friendly ear to listen to them. As your counselor, I look forward to engaging with you through meaningful conversations that promote self-reflection, growth, inspiration, and transformation.

I am a graduate student seeking my master's in clinical mental health counseling at LeTourneau University. Additionally, I work as a first-grade assistant in a great school. Working in a school has only furthered my passion and love for helping others. When not in school or working, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and pug, Bruce. I also enjoy crafting and using my creativity to create new things.
