Hi, I am Eryka Henry-Obike LPC Associate, supervised by Jamie Williams, LPC-S. Therapy can be overwhelming and intimidating for most, as such, I salute your courage for taking this vital step of reaching out for the help you desire and deserve. On your journey of self-discovery, mastery and healing with me, you will have a warm, caring, honest, direct, empathetic and nonjudgmental therapist in your corner. Because your trust is important to me and I want to see you win, my goal is to create an enabling safe environment where you feel seen, understood and comfortable enough to be vulnerable and transparent. I will support and collaborate with you as well as equip you with the strategies and tools necessary for you to live the best and authentic life that you envision for yourself.

My journey into the counseling profession started over 15 years ago in my local Church community. Over the years, I have had the privilege of helping many gain clarity, discover purpose, and heal. My initial exposure in the field of counseling was primarily in Pastoral Counseling as well as relationships and marriage counseling. During the first three months of the COVID-19 lockdown, I received the highest number of calls for counseling for cases mainly related to anxiety, depression, emotional/physical abuse, and lots more. The pain and suffering I saw in their faces, necessitated my transition into Clinical Mental Health Counseling in order to acquire the knowledge and competence I needed to be effective.

I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Christian University and a Master’s degree in Marriage and family therapy from Liberty University. I have also completed Levels 1 and 2 Training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method Treating Affairs and Trauma.

I enjoy working with young adults, individuals, and couples. I look forward to joining you on this beautiful healing and transformational journey.

Our business is run on a finite number of business hours scheduled. We recognize that things sometime happen and you may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If so, please call at least 48 hrs in advance (no emails, please) and give us an opportunity to help someone else in that time slot.

Failure to cancel (48 hrs in advance) or show up for your scheduled session will constitute permission to bill you for the time you scheduled.
