Kai Nicholas, Counseling Student

Houston Christian University

Hello! Welcome to Prosperity and congratulations on taking the first step towards a better tomorrow. My goal is to walk with you on your counseling journey and create a plan together to assist in navigating the ups and downs of everyday life. Whether you’re tired and worn out from work, struggling with your entry to motherhood, or have anxiety about responding to peer pressure at school, I am here to help you. My therapy approaches consist of, (but are not limited to) feminist theory, multicultural, and CBT. I enjoy working with mothers in all journeys of motherhood, adolescents, teens, individuals, and couples.

Currently, I am a graduate student in the clinical mental health counseling program at Houston Christian University. In addition to being a counseling student, I work as an elementary school teacher. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and my daughter. I also have a great love for Pilates, as I believe working out the body also helps work out the mind.

I intend to use my experience and education to foster a safe and comfortable space for you to better your mental health. We will work together to develop a plan that maximizes your strengths and abilities so you can reach your full potential. I look forward to working with you!
