Her primary goals as a therapist are to walk alongside clients during their challenging moments and to help them remain connected to their values while moving forward toward a healthy, fulfilled life.
Kari practices from a background of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Solution-focused therapy, but she strives overall to be client-centered and collaborative in her approach. Further counseling skills obtained through field experience include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills with both individuals and groups of adolescents. In addition to being an LPC-Associate, Kari is currently an LCDC-Intern pursuing her credential as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in Texas.
