Licensed Professional Counselor & Clinical Director

Hello! Reaching out to begin this process can be a daunting task. So, I’m glad you’re here. Most enter into therapy feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, and/or not good enough. It is painful and frustrating to not feel in control of your emotions. Negative thoughts make it hard to feel good about yourself, your relationships, and your outlook on life. Imagine what you would be doing instead if you could truly heal and manage your emotions more effectively. During sessions, we will work together to rewrite the narratives read by your internal voice and reframe your thinking. Together, we will develop tools and resources that are needed to strengthen your mindset daily, allowing you to increase overall confidence and trust in yourself.

My clinical experience includes a broad range of care in anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, anger management, emotional abuse/neglect, self-esteem, post-traumatic stress disorder, parent coaching, career coaching, military/veteran issues, and grief and loss. I take a compassionate, warm, and direct approach by guiding clients past traditional talk therapy toward inner healing by utilizing evidence-based modalities. As a trauma therapist trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I facilitate clients in learning to heal past hurts to experience life more fully and find relational connection again. I also practice integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy into EMDR, but remain client-centered and collaborative in my approach. I provide individual counseling, couples therapy, and group counseling.

I graduated from Texas A&M University and spent eight years working in Corporate America while serving as a military spouse. After a seven-year stint staying home with my two children, I returned to graduate school to earn my Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston-Victoria. In addition to being licensed as an LPC (#85314), I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a member of the Texas Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota professional honor society. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and roller skating.
